History

The coating facility was established at the end of the 1980’s in a suburb of Copenhagen and was acquired by Niko Medical in the mid 1990’s. In 1998 Most of Niko Medical’s activities were sold to another company in the medical device field.

The remains of Niko’s activities including the coating facility were continued under the name of Lina Medical and until 2014 the coating activity was a division of Lina Medical, known as Lina Coating. Then in 2014 it was decided to separate the coating activity into an independent company under the name of Zealand Coating.

Since Niko Medical acquired the activity the manufacturing site had been situated in Bjaeverskov, Denmark. But in 2025 it was decided to relocate the coating facility to a suburb of Poznan where the Lina Group possess several other manufacturing facilities thus enabling better utilization of shared resources.
